With the bridal party making their entrance, the air was electric with anticipation. Ire entered gracefully, supported by her mother and brother, Tunwa, as the memory of her late father, Tayo, was honoured with heartfelt words. His spirit was lovingly woven into the ceremony, reminding everyone that love transcends time and space.
A Covenant of Faith
Marriage is a divine partnership, and Tosin and Ire’s love is a beautiful reflection of that truth. Their relationship is built on a foundation of trust, shared faith, and unwavering commitment to one another and to God. As I shared during the ceremony, a marriage with God at its center is one that flourishes in grace and grows in strength.

As tradition dictates, the ceremony reached a pivotal moment. With a calm yet commanding voice, I asked:
“With all that said, I must now ask: Is there anyone here present who knows just cause why these two persons may not be joined in holy matrimony? Please speak now or forever hold your peace…”
The room grew still, and a ripple of quiet laughter swept through the crowd as Tosin and Ire exchanged nervous yet playful glances. The weight of the question and the sheer presence of 300 beloved guests heightened the drama of the moment. As I proclaimed, “You may now kiss your bride,” Tosin and Ire turned to one another, radiant with joy. Their kiss was met with an eruption of applause, cheers, and happy tears from their 300 guests, a celebration of their new chapter as husband and wife.

Led by Pastor (Dr.) Aderemi Odedoyin, the congregation joined in prayer and hymns that lifted their hearts and the couple’s union before the Lord. The hymns O Perfect Love All Human Thought Transcending and Praise My Soul The King of Heaven filled the space with reverence and joy.
