On Thursday, May 30th, 2024, the picturesque Quinta dos Vales witnessed the beautiful union of Kim and Nick, surrounded by the vibrant hues of a pumpkin orange wedding colour scheme. As a Certified Celebrant and Ordained Minister for the Algarve Region of Portugal, I had the honour of officiating this memorable wedding ceremony.
Kim and Nick’s love story began on Plenty of Fish, where a modest “5” rating for Nick quickly blossomed into undeniable chemistry and a solid 7.5 in Kim’s eyes. Nick seamlessly integrated into Kim’s life, bonding with her children, family, and friends. Their shared adventures included a magical Christmas trip from New York’s lights to a romantic proposal on Tampa Bay’s beaches. Kim’s selflessness and love for her family resonated with Nick, while his unwavering support made Kim feel cherished. Their passions for cooking, hosting, and spending time with loved ones solidified their bond, with dreams of settling in the Algarve. As they look forward to a future in Portugal, they envision a life filled with laughter, love, and sun-kissed memories, forging a love story that will stand the test of time.
Welcome & Announcement
With excitement and anticipation in the air, I welcomed everyone to the wedding of Nick and Kim. The stunning Algarvian location provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love and joy. As guests stood to welcome the bridal party, the stage was set for a heartfelt celebration.
Giving Away The Bride
In a touching twist on tradition, Kim’s son, Harry, played a special role. Rather than a father giving away his daughter, Harry was asked to offer his blessing for his mother’s marriage to Nick, symbolising their shared journey of love and commitment. His heartfelt “I do” set the tone for the beautiful moments to follow.

Exchange of Vows
Nick and Kim exchanged vows, promising to honor, love, support, and appreciate each other. In her eagerness, Kim joyfully exclaimed “I do” before I had finished, prompting a warm laugh from everyone. Their heartfelt and sincere words beautifully demonstrated the depth of their connection.
Ring Exchange
The rings, symbols of their unending love, were exchanged with promises to always love, cherish, honour, and comfort each other. Harry, the ring bearer, played a crucial role in this heartfelt moment and Phoebe, Kims daughter also assisted.
Signing the Register
As family and friends relaxed, Kim and Nick signed the Wedding Certificate and Register, officially marking their union. Sophie and her husband Adam witnessed this special moment.
Final Blessing
In a touching conclusion, I blessed Kim and Nick with words emphasizing their mutual shelter, warmth, companionship, and love. The guests stood and applauded as I presented Mr. and Mrs. Moss for the very first time.
