Got a Question About Your Algarve Wedding Ceremony?

I have tried to give all the information I can on my website, However you guys are really smart and you have questions I have not covered.

To make life easier for you, here are the most frequently asked questions couples ask me.

FAQs
A celebrant is someone who generally officiates weddings for people who, for various reasons, cannot or do not wish to go for a traditional ceremony performed according to principles of Faith. Celebrancy is a relatively new profession, however, it has considerably grown in popularity over the past 10 years and more and more people use the services of a celebrant for other life milestones such as renewal of vows and baby naming, which replaces the traditional christening. Plus by using a certified Celebrant or Ordained Minister you can get married anywhere at any venue of your choosing and are not tied to a church or registry office.
First we need to get your date booked in, So I would need a deposit payment, I would also like to find out a bit about your wedding so will ask for you to complete a booking form. I would also like to chat to you both, I know this is not easy being in different countries however this is where Zoom, Face Time or Messenger comes into play. I would then send you a Love story Questionnaire this is where you can tell me all about you both...This is what I will use to create your perfect Ceremony. A few days or day before your ceremony it would be good to have a little rehearsal at the ceremony location if possible and a nice time to catch up with you both. Then this brings you up to your WEDDING DAY! EXCITING!!
This is YOUR wedding so we can plan your ceremony to be as long as you want it to be, it can be anything from 10-15 minutes to up to 45 minutes to an hour. Please please keep in mind we are in the Algarve where it can get very hot so you dont want your Wedding guests melting.
I have the pleasure of doing a lot of weddings every year so if you have your date and you know you want me then dont hang about send me an email!
To become a member of the Celebrants Collective you have to complete and pass a course and assignments, once completed this you become a Qualified Celebrant, I have completed and this is why I proudly show my Certificate badge on my website
Absolutely. Don't just go for price, I am sure you will find cheaper and you will defiantly find more expensive. Your choice of Celebrant has to come down to taste and like-ability, Your ceremony is the most important time of your wedding day so you need someone who is on the same wavelength as you both, You have to have a connection as we will be working together through the lead up to your wedding day. If you dont like the sound of me or the way I work then find someone who suits you. Please dont book me on just price.
Ordained means I have gained an official status as a minister through the Universal Life Church so I can conduct religious ceremonies for those that wish and in some countries I can even legally marry although im afraid not in Portugal!
And that is why I am also a Certified Celebrant, your ceremony is about YOU and your belief system, you may be more spiritual or a humanist in your outlook and that is so cool as it also means I've got your back. I am a minister with the Universal Life Church and that means we believe that every person has the right to express whatever beliefs they hold dear without prejudice, we are all children of the same universe and I would conduct your ceremony based on you, what you want and your beliefs.
Yes I ask for €100/ £100 Deposit to secure the date and the final amount to be paid either 4 weeks before or payment to be made at the rehearsal.
Cool, first thing to do is stop reading this and use the contact me form to get in touch and see if I have your date available, then I can start the fun part of hearing all your plans, finding out more about you guys and start planning your Ceremony.... Exciting huh!
